Products that contains nicotine and tobacco is strictly prohibited to sell in Lazada and may lead to Non-Compliance Points issued. In this regard, please be reminded that nicotine is classified as a Poison C which is regulated under the Poisons Act 1952.
The sale of products with nicotine in contravention of the said Act, is punishable with a fine not exceeding RM3,000 and/or jail term not exceeding 1 year, with heavier penalties for subsequent offences. Further, an infringement of the Sales of Drugs Act 1952 and the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations 1984 may also lead to a fine and/or jail term of not exceeding RM25,000 and/or 3 years respectively for the 1st offence, and RM50,000 and/or 5 years respectively for subsequent offences.
