At Lazada, we are always looking to improve our platform so our sellers can have a better selling experience. Starting from 5 August 2019, we will be introducing 2 new features
on your Orders Overview Page in Seller Center: Ship On Time SLA display and Automated Package Split feature.
Update No.1: Ship On Time SLA (SOT SLA)
What is it?
- The 'Ship SLA' column will be renamed as 'Ship On Time SLA' (SOT SLA).
- Ship On Time SLA measures a Seller's ability to fulfill orders on time (i.e. how timely orders are handed over to the Logistics Provider).
- The calculation starts when an order is first received and ends when the order has been packed AND handed to the Logistics Provider.
Ship On Time (SLA) Process
What Is New?
- Under the 'Ship On Time SLA' column, each order will have a timer that counts down to the end of its Ship On Time SLA. If an order or package has not been handed over before the timer ends (i.e. breaches the Ship On Time SLA), the timer will be replaced with a warning "SLA Breached!".
- By default, this timer will prioritize orders from the most urgent to the least urgent. Orders with the shortest time left will be on top, followed by the next shortest timing.
How Does This Update Benefit Me?
You will now be able to follow the prioritization order shown on the Order Overview Page and fulfill orders that require the most urgent attention. You will no longer need to worry about overlooking the handover time of an urgent order that was received in later part of the day.
What Happens If I Breach The Ship On Time SLA ?
A low Ship On Time score could impact your Seller Rating and eligibility to participate in Campaigns.
Update No.2: Automated Package Split
What Is It?
It is a mechanism that splits your order into smaller multiple packages automatically, if required.
This feature replaces the existing Weight Check feature on Seller Center, where an error message pops up prompting you to split your orders manually using Item Level Processing.
How Does It Work?
An order will be split into multiple packages if:
- An order consists of multiple items,
- The combined weight of the items exceeds 20kg, or
- The combined size of the items exceeds 70cm on any side
How Will This Impact Me?
- On the Order Overview Page, after you print the shipping labels for your orders, you will be able to see the number of parcels created for each order.
- Please pack your orders according to the multiple separated packages shown.
- DO NOT attempt to combine the order into a single parcel with a single tracking number, as this will result in inaccurate order status updates and typically leads to cancellation.
- DO NOT place multiple shipping labels on a single package, as this package will be rejected by our Logistic Providers.
Won't I End Up Paying Higher Shipping Fees?
- Yes, at the moment you will see a higher shipping fee charge compared to what is paid by customers.
- Until we are able to charge Customers more accurate shipping fees, Lazada will proactively reimburse Sellers for this cost difference. Proactive reimbursement will be done a month after the parcel is delivered i.e, parcels delivered in August to be reimbursed in September.
- You are encouraged to raise a dispute to PSC to ensure all your impacted orders are accounted for reimbursement.
